The Council of Albanian Ambassadors hails the voting by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo of the new Government of the Republic of Kosovo led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti. At the same time, the Council of Albanian Ambassadors welcomes the election of Madame Vjosa Osmani, as President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
The establishment of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo was the crowning of the democratic process that culminated with the free and democratic elections of 6th of October 2019. These elections unfolded a high democratic culture by the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
We extend our congratulations to parties of the governing coalition for the agreement they reached and express our confidence that Government “ Kurti” which is made of “ Vetëvendosja” and
“ The Democratic League of Kosova”, together with the parties of ethnic minorities will meet successfully the challenges lying ahead for the Republic of Kosovo.
The Council of Albanian Ambassadors would like to highlight, in particular, the difficult challenges for the further consolidation of Kosovo’s international position, as a sovereign and independent state.
We express our faith that Government “ Kurti” together with the other institutions of the Republic of Kosovo will overcome with seriousness and professionalism every challenge and obstacle in the unstoppable route of the Republic of Kosovo to its integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures, membership to the UN and to other international organizations.
The Council of Albanian Ambassadors highlights with pride the fact that after the proclamation of its independence, the Republic of Kosovo has proved to be a powerful pillar of peace and stability in the region and a dignified bearer of Euro- Atlantic values and aspirations that have always inspired our nation.
