The Council of Albanian Ambassadors strongly condemns the repeated missile and drone attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 10 and 11 October 2026.

These heinous attacks against civilian aviation infrastructure, which have killed at least 14 people and wounded more than 300 innocent civilians including foreign nationals and forced the closure of Riyadh’s main international airport, represent a dangerous escalation and a grave violation of international law.

We express our condolences to the families of the victims, to the people and Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to all affected nationals, and wish a speedy and full recovery to the injured.

Council of Albanian Ambassadors condemn in the strongest terms the targeting of civilian airports and civil aviation which endangers innocent lives, express our full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a friendly country and important partner for regional stability, and call on the international community to hold accountable those responsible and to ensure full respect for the principle that civilian objects and infrastructure must never be targeted.

CAA reaffirm that such acts of violence threaten regional and international peace and security and cannot be justified under any pretext. Albania, as a member of NATO and a country committed to peace and international law, stands firmly against terrorism in all its forms
