The Council of Albanian Ambassadors on the Passing of Pope Francis.

With deep sorrow, we received the news of the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis a spiritual leader who left an indelible mark on the conscience of humanity.

Pope Francis was a tireless advocate for peace through disarmament and an unwavering supporter of the most vulnerable members of society. Through his vision and constant calls for peace and a more socially just economy, he gave a profound new dimension to the role of the Church in the modern world.

His efforts to modernize the Church, his commitment to interfaith dialogue, and his historic visit to Albania, a country known for its exemplary religious coexistence  are testaments to his enlightened and humble leadership.

On behalf of the Council of Albanian Ambassadors, we extend our most sincere condolences to Catholic believers in Albania, throughout Albanian lands, and around the world. The memory and message of Pope Francis will live on in the hearts of all those inspired by his words and deeds.

May his memory be eternal.
