The Council of Albanian Ambassadors hosted H.E. Gabriel Cremades Ventura, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Albania, for a welcoming and working lunch.
The meeting focused on Albania’s path toward European Union membership, emphasizing the importance of justice reform and the fight against corruption as key challenges and essential pillars for becoming a full EU member.
The Council also expressed its appreciation to Spain for recognizing the official documents of the Republic of Kosovo, viewing this step as a positive and constructive gesture. In this spirit, the Council conveyed its hope that Spain will, in due course, recognize the irreversible independence of Kosovo, in line with regional stability and European values.
The Council reaffirmed its commitment to support Albania’s European integration and expressed its readiness to work closely with Spanish partners.
The Council also appreciated Spain’s continued support and cooperation in strengthening bilateral relations with Albania and advancing the shared European objectives.
