The Council of Albanian Ambassadors meets with H.E. Marco Alberti, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy.

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors had the pleasure to have a working lunch with H.E. Marco Alberti, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Albania.

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors reaffirmed the importance of the Albanian–Italian partnership in advancing Albania’s EU integration. The Council expressed gratitude for Italy’s consistent and strategic support.

Discussions placed emphasis on promoting economic development by attracting Italian businesses to invest in Albania, with the dual purpose of creating jobs for Albanian youth and reinforcing bilateral economic ties. The Council also underlined the need for sustained inter-institutional collaboration to achieve concrete results in combating corruption and organized crime.

It was agreed to maintain regular contacts and to organize an open meeting to further address the challenges Albania encounters in the ongoing EU accession negotiations.
